X is back. “Undisputed”, DMX’s newest album, was released earlier today. After seeing him perform at Rock the Bells a few weeks ago, I’m confident that DMX is not retiring any time soon. “Undisputed” brings back that raw DMX we all know and love with the addition of some new sounds. There’s a good variety of songs on this album, you’ll hear deep, gospel sounding hip hop and you’ll hear that darker, raw DMX from before. ”I Don’t Dance” features Machine Gun Kelly and is the only pop song I’ve ever heard DMX spit on. Both rappers did pretty well on this track, check it out below.
“I Don’t Dance” almost doesn’t belong in the album, don’t get me wrong, it’s a good song, it’s just really different from every other song in the album. DMX has been in jail, in mental institutions, violated probations, has had issues with weapons and drugs, etc. So it’s understandable that in many of the songs on “Undisputed” he spills his guts and tells us how he feels about what he’s done. This is a nice break from the money, weed and women that many of today’s rappers talk about in their songs. The video below offers snippets from each song in the album. At the bottom of the post I’ve provided a free download for this album.
DMX has another album in the making titled “Reduction of a Beast” set for release sometime next year. Hopefully he can stay away from jail long enough to finish it. I’m a big fan of DMX and I’d love to see him come out with some more classics. If you’re interested in downloading the “Undisputed” album, click on the link below.
